Description

Artist’s Profile

TOTONG FRANCISCO II
Abstract-Expressionism
Angono, Philippines

Totong is an artist from Angono—The Art Capital Of The Philippines.
He’s been a full-time artist since 1996. He started painting when he was 14.

Through the years he exposed himself to different sorts of mediums or materials, from oil, water based paints to experimental mixed media and collages. But he found acrylic really enjoyable and suitable for him to use. For the past fifteen years it is his choice of medium base whether using it as it is or incorporating it with other materials.

He came from a family of artists—his grandfather is Botong Francisco—the National Artists in The Philippines.

His inclination about art can be traced back to the history and bloodlines of artists in their province. He was named after his grandfather Botong. Like his grandad he also studied Fine Arts and it always has been his dream to be an artist.

As soon as he decided to be a full time artist, he engaged himself in a lot of art activities and projects in art communities. He and his group are always aiming for the growth and development of Arts not only in their local town or province but for the whole country and internationally as well.
